Colombian born designer Francisco Sarria has won recognition for his original sculptural aesthetic defined by his fun and colourful Latin-American heritage blended with a modern design language. Each individual project shows a strong geometric theme in which very simple forms are repeated or altered until an appearance of refined complexity full of unexpected details is achieved.

Throughout the time working in Copenhagen and London, Francisco has developed a career working within a wide range of design disciplines including furniture, branding, interiors, lighting, retail and exhibitions. Practical, yet playfully interactive, his work mixes different media to create unique and meaningful people-centred projects that strive to connect and engage.

His practice provides a total holistic service tailored to each assignment: from concept and design to manufacturing and implementation. This holistic approach is achieved with a working process in which designers and makers are involved hand in hand throughout all stages of the projects, from concept to completion. This approach guarantees a high level of expertise to every part of the process, resulting not only in making remarkable projects but also in a very efficient manufacturing phase and an easier and enjoyable process for the client.

While living in the UK, Francisco started his own design work and founded the design collective Sarria Hannam Associates. Alongside his own design work, he has also worked as a furniture, interior and experience designer for major design and architecture companies. Today, the Copenhagen based practice collaborates with a variety of design professionals and makers to deliver a wide range of projects that adapt to different sizes and budgets. Previous relevant clients include: Aesop, TV2, Holly Golightly, KPMG, Ørsted and Carlsberg.
